Till 19 Century Aryan was believed to be the father of all languages in the world.19 Century Sanskrit Pundits proved that since the very word`Aryan'is from the Sanskrit word`Arya',the white-skinned people who ultimately conquered the black-skinned and spread over the entire globe their language and culture,the first position in the Tree of Language is to be given,not to the Aryan,but to the Sanskrit.History repeated itself.Till 19 Century Indo-European was believed to occupy the third position in the Tree of Language.But 19 Century German scholars proved that since all European languages are direct descendents of Germanic language,the third position in the Tree of Languages is to ba accorded,not to Indo-European,but to Indo-Germanic.
Now,we know nothing about Indo-European Language.When was it born?where was it born?who are those people who spoke or wrote in Indo-European?We know only this much that somewhere on the Asia Minor ,several thousand years BC,a language was born which came to pass as Indo-European Language.With the passage of time Indo-European took a split course, one stream of it went into the West and the other came down into our East.We have thus Easter and Western Indo-European Family of Languages.
The Eastern Indo-European Family of Languages had four sub-divisions:Balto-Slavic,Indo-Iranian,Armenian and Albanian.The Western Indo-European Language had also four sub-divisions:Greek,Latin,Celtic and Germanic The Germanic had,in its turn,four sub-divisions:East Germanic or Gothic,North Germanic or Old Norse like Scandinavian,Swedish,Danish and Norwegian,while West Germanic Language had just two sub-divisions like High West German and Low West German.High West German is Modern German,while Low West German had four children:Frisian,Flemish,Dutch and English.
Now,just look up and see where is our Sanskrit,our Adam parent, and Where is English.The most execrable sight is:we have flung our most hallowed Sanskrit parent into our absolute unconcern to modernise ourselves into the English of the other day.This is licking the feet of the bread-guardian while our native ancient parent languishes `for the touch of a hand that is gone and the sound of a voice that is still!'
