As per SOLAS, it's now mandatory to pressure test Immersion Suits every 3 years. But no-where it mentions that it is to be done by outside Workshop.
Still many are spending money on this by appointing outside Workshops for this simple job, which can be very easily done on-board. Please see below explanation with diagram, how it could be done on-board:
